VISION+EYES features an optical lab. We have the tools and supplies to adjust and repair frames. We also feature in-office finishing equipment to cut lenses into the shape of your frame.
In-Office Edger
An edger is the machine that we use to cut lenses to fit into a frame. The process starts by tracing the inside of the frame to find its shape. Your measurements are input into the machine to center the lens exactly where you will be looking through to reduce eyestrain and distortions. The lens is placed into the edger where it will grind your lens into the final shape that fits into your frame. The process takes about 30 minutes to complete.
Our in-office edger allows us to order your lenses and make your glasses here. That gives us the ability to extend two main perks to our patients: quicker turnaround time and a better product. We are able to complete our glasses orders quicker with our edger because we do not have to send your frame to another lab before your lenses get designed; instead your lenses are designed as soon as we place the order, speeding the process up. When your lenses arrive, our highly trained opticians can complete your glasses here giving us more ability to accurately make your glasses correctly resulting in less errors.
Having an edger allows us to make glasses in the same day and also be able to order new lenses for your current frame without having to ship them to an outside lab, allowing you to wear your frame while your lenses are being designed.
Same Day Glasses
We are able to make glasses for you in the same day! We stock many prescriptions in our optical lab in premium polycarbonate with a premium anti-reflective coating. Ask us if we have your prescription in stock so you can leave our office with a new pair of glasses today!
Adjustments and Repairs
Our trained opticians can adjust your glasses and repair any missing screws or nosepads. We have the tools and replacement hardware to fix most glasses. Our opticians are available to help you adjust or fix your glasses, just stop on in!
