Dr. T has been serving his native Austin community as an optometrist since 2013. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Texas in Austin and his Doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Prior to opening VISION + EYES in 2021, he had been practicing in various optometry and ophthalmology clinics around Austin and the surrounding suburbs.

Dr. T gained valuable experience in primary care, specialty contact lenses, and laser procedures/minor lid surgeries during his externship rotations in Tahlequah, OK and Austin, TX. He has also worked in rural Cherokee Nation clinics treating and managing glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, and other eye diseases. He is passionate about myopia management for kids since he is strongly near-sighted himself.
In his free time, Dr. T enjoys the outdoors with his wife Theresa and two kids, Luna and Luke. He’s a hobbyist woodworker, avid gamer (PCMR), and a fan of UT football and Houston sports.

"I have been in the optical industry since 2018. My favorite thing to do as an optician is bringing damaged frames back to life. It feels great when you can take someone's beloved frame and bring back it's beauty.

In my spare time I love to travel and play in various casino's. I am also an avid gamer (Xbox of course) and most importantly I love going into full dad mode spending time with my son and four beautiful daughters.

Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, I moved to Argentina in 2017 in search for a better future.
I have been working in customer service for as long as I’ve lived here. I enjoy helping people find a middle ground. Treat people with kindness is my motto!
In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym to swim in the pool, to relax a little. I also enjoy baking cakes, and trying new recipes for my friends and family so they can give me feedback and see if there’s room for improvement… i also, of course, love to enjoy a good slice of chocolate cake made by me.

I'm an Austin native with a passion for all things people! I love connecting with those around me and learning new things. The optical world keeps me constantly learning - both about the industry and the people in my community.

I started my optical career straight out of high school, and while I had to take a break to earn my associate's degree at ACC, I always knew I'd get back to being an optician. I love every part of the process, but I particularly take great joy in helping patients select frames; did someone say fashion show!?
​
After work, I enjoy baking or spending time in nature, especially with my four-legged friend. I also frequent thrift stores of all kinds. Hiking or hunting for thrifty treasures, I get my kicks living life slowly.

Jerry has been a team member at VISION+EYES since we opened. You won't see him much during the day because he is more of a night owl, preferring to take long walks around the office after dark. He's a valuable part of the team and does his best to keep the clinic as clean as it can be.

Fun fact, he likes to wear glasses but they make his vision worse.
